Siskiyou Economic Development Council Secures $2.1 Million to Complete Carnegie Rehabilitation Project and Drive Industry Innovation

The Siskiyou Economic Development Council (SEDC) will receive $2.1 million from the Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF) Pilot Program. Several California agencies issued a press release this week, announcing nearly $39 million in state funding supporting eight economic development projects across the state.

The Siskiyou Center will provide agriculture, outdoor tourism and renewable energy businesses with new and expanded access to programs, expertise, research, and innovation.

Planning Grant Awarded for Carnegie Revitalization

The Siskiyou EDC and the City of Yreka recently secured $250,000 in CDBG funds for architectural plans and permitting. This planning stage is an important first step to revitalize the building as a performing asset for the economy and community of Yreka.
