Building Economic Resiliency in Siskiyou
With support from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), Siskiyou Economic Development is leading an 18 month project to identify competitive strengths and right-sized tools to further support economic resilience in Siskiyou.
“This project expands our capacity to engage in resilience planning with partner jurisdictions, small businesses, and industry stakeholders,” explains program manager, Kory Hayden.
The SCED team will evaluate Siskiyou’s economic strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) and will then recommend strategies to build responsive economic capacity in Siskiyou. Results will be shared with the EDA and partner jurisdictions, and will be considered in the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy(CEDS) for Siskiyou, Shasta, Modoc and Trinity counties.
