California's Working Landscape
Siskiyou is a key contributor to California’s working landscape, which was highlighted at the California Economic Summit in December.
California’s Working Landscape is a standing agenda topic at the annual California Economic Summit. The sector includes agriculture, fishing, forestry, mineral mining, outdoor recreation and renewable energy. The term partners the importance of economic production with the landscape that supports it. The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources provided an extensive report at the summit to inform triple-bottom line goals; to grow the economy, sustain a productive environment and enhance opportunity for all.
