Brownfield site inventory form
In 2017, the City of Yreka, City of Weed, and Siskiyou County received a $600,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Coalition Assessment Grant. We are reaching out to the community to identify potential brownfield sites across Siskiyou County.
Brownfields are real properties where expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of the property may be complicated by the presence or perceived presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
Examples of brownfields sites include historic:
Industrial Buildings
Lumber Mills
Auto Repair/Mechanic Shop
Gas Station
Paint Store/Storage
Landfill
Dry Cleaner
Trucking Yards
Abandoned Property
Fuel Storage Sites
Please visit the U.S. EPA Brownfields (www.epa.gov/brownfields) page for more information.
We invite you to fill out the form below, to suggest a single property per entry.
